Targets
LR-S Mini-Palma shot at 100 yards. Each target consists of bullseyes that simulate 800, 900, and 1000 yard targets, two bullseyes for each yardage. Targets are available through Pisoleer.com if you want to order practice targets (match targets will be provided). For perspective, each target is 14” x 42”. The simulated 1000 yard bullseye is approximately 5.25” in diameter.
Each shooter will be given 2 targets (see below), each consisting of 6 bullseyes. One bullseye will be used as a sighter, and the other 11 bullseyes will be used for score.
Sighter
- Simulated 800 yards
- 15 minutes
- Unlimited rounds
Score
- A total time limit of 15 minutes will be imposed per simulated yardage (i.e. 15 minutes for the simulated 800 yard bullseyes, 15 minutes for 900 yards, etc.).
- 5 rounds will be shot at each bullseye, for a total of 55 rounds (15 rounds at the simulated 800 yard bullseyes due to one bullseye being used for sighting, 20 rounds at the simulated 900 yard bullseyes, and 20 rounds at the simulated 1000 yard bullseyes.)
Scoring
- The Match Directors will score all targets.
- A shot that breaks a scoring ring is scored as the value of the ring it breaks (the higher value). Benefit of doubt goes to the shooter. No points will be awarded for shots outside the bullseye.
- No handicaps or other adjustments to the score will be given. Limited Rifle shooters will compete against other Limited Rifle shooters, and F-Class against F-Class.
Discrepancies
- Fewer than 5 shots on a bullseye - missing shots will be scored as misses.
- More than 5 shots on a target - the low 5 values will be recorded for score, unless an obvious cross fire circumstance is evident (e.g. the target in contention has 7 shots and the target next to the target in contention is short 2 shots), in which case the high 5 will be counted.
- All scoring disputes must be directed to the Match Directors immediately and will be resolved immediately, unless the Match Directors indicate otherwise. All decisions of the Match Directors are final.

FAQ
Q: Can I shoot my AR-15?
A: Only if you’re using a .22 LR conversion kit or a dedicated .22 LR AR.
Q: I don’t get down on the ground very well any more (actually the problem is getting back up!). Can I use knee and elbow pads?
A: Yes, you can use knee and elbow pads for both the Limited and F-Class divisions.
Q: What is the total round count? How much ammo should I bring?
A: You’ll need a minimum of 55 rounds for score. The sighter bullseye can be shot an unlimited number of times, so it’s suggested that you bring 100 rounds to the match. That way, you’ll be sure to have more than enough ammo.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: Suck it up. The match will be delayed/canceled if there is lightning. Otherwise, ask a Boy Scout what type of outdoor gear they recommend.
Q: What if I preregistered and can’t make it / decide I don’t want to shoot?
A: Please be polite and contact [email protected] and let us know in advance. Just not showing up is rude.
Q: How long will the entire match last?
A: We have no idea and won’t have an estimate until everyone is registered. This is the first time DCSC has run this sort of match. Please be patient. Each squad will be on the firing line for approximately 75 minutes (including setup, shooting, and tear down).
Q: Do I need to stay for the entire match?
A: Only if you want to.
Q: Am I allowed to feed the Match Directors?
A: Despite the fact that they’re cute and cuddly, we have the same policy as the zoo. Please don’t feed the animals.
Q: Can my friend come and watch the match?
A: Sure. They just need to stand behind the firing line.
Q: Can I help a shooter during the match?
A: Absolutely. This is encouraged if you’re bringing a younger shooter.
Q: Where can I find targets to practice?
A: Targets can be purchased from Pistoleer.com. If you Google Pistoleer Mini-Palma, you’ll find them.
Q: Am I allowed to shoot in both divisions.
A: Yes!
Q: I’m having problems with my gun/sights. Can I reshoot?
A: Maybe, maybe not. If you are having a significant problem, then discuss it with the Match Director and he will make the final decision. No reshoots are allowed for misaligned sights. Make sure your sights are on target before the match.
Q: When will scores be available and where can I find them?
A: The scoring may not be finished immediately after the match has ended. They’ll be posted on the DCSC member forum as soon as they are available.
Q: This was fun / this was horrible. Where can I send my adoring praise / hate mail? I have suggestions for next year.
A: Contact [email protected]. Or you can discuss it with the Match Directors after the match. The DCSC member forum is another option. Or you can contact the Board of Directors if you feel you need to.
