SOUL SNATCHERS: Zombies capped at DeWitt Co. Sportsman’s ClubOctober 24, 2015
Today, the DeWitt Co. Sportman’s Club held their annual “Outbreak” Zombie Shoot.
Many scores of folks showed up and had a fantastic time shooting zombies.
Only head shots count, and this year, with the addition of clay pigeons affixed to the faces/foreheads of the infected, it was easy to spot the hits and everyone know where to shoot. It was a great day.
Family fun at the DeWitt County Sportsman’s Club “Outbreak” zombie shoot
Clinton, IL (GSL) - The DeWitt County Sportsman’s Club held its fourth annual “Outbreak” zombie shoot on Saturday, October 24th near Clinton, IL. Nearly a hundred people showed up to help out and/or engage in friendly competition, shooting zombies in the head while not shooting those who hadn’t turned into zombies yet.
Young and old participated, including men, women and young adults.
This year, the club used clay pigeons for the “brains”, to make a clean target that was easy to spot hits. “We’ve experimented with target mechanisms over the years,” DCSC Vice-President Ed Adock said. “This year, I think everyone agrees this year was the best year ever.”
Black Kettle provided outstanding food for those present, and club members volunteered to do setup and make the event run successfully.
Indeed. It was a very good, family fun event, sure to be even better next year.
Food was provided by Black Kettle and as always, it was terrific.
Thanks go out to the many volunteers who came out to help make this possible.
